Over the last few weeks our handmade candles have been flying out from our stalls and online sales.
All our candles are handmade by John. He has the steady hand and patience needed to produce our gorgeous candles. Each candle is made from pure Shropshire beeswax with nothing added to them apart from the wick.
Traditionally, beeswax candles were expensive, and reserved for churches, royalty and nobility but nowadays they are available to all.

The Wax Chanders were established before 1330 and were an organisation made up of wax traders. The Worshipful Company of Wax Chandlers is one of the oldest livery companies in the city of London but it has one of the smallest memberships (around 120 members). It had a Royal Charter granted to it in 1484 by King Richard III. Today, it takes an active role in supporting the corporate governance of the city of London and the Lord Mayor.
Here at Hedgerow honey, our candles are all made from our own beeswax which is a by product of our honey extraction. We clean our wax and turn it into candles with nothing added apart from a wick.
We have a wide range of candles including dinner candles, pillar candles, novelty candles including hedgehogs as well as flowers and many, many other designs.
John is busy working on a large order of dinner candles for The Cupboard, our stockist in the indoor market in Shrewsbury as well as a range of new candles for Christmas.

Our candles are available from our website hedgerow-honey.co.uk or from any event that we attend. If you have any specific requirements for candles then please get in touch with us.
